Right now, much of that attention is focused on AI.

Can it generate this? Analyze that? Automate a process? Call another system?

Those are useful questions, but businesses ultimately need a more practical answer:

Does this make the work better?

Better does not simply mean faster.

It can mean eliminating repetitive data entry. Giving someone the information they need without making them search three systems. Catching a problem earlier. Reducing unnecessary handoffs. Making ownership clearer. Allowing experienced people to spend more time applying judgment and less time fighting the tools around them.

That is the promise of good software, automation, and AI.

It is also where many technology efforts lose their way.

A tool can create more activity without creating more value. Automation can accelerate a poorly understood process. AI can produce an answer while leaving the rest of the workflow unresolved.

The people doing the work usually understand those gaps better than anyone. They know the exceptions, delays, workarounds, and judgment calls that do not appear in a clean process diagram.

Their experience should be part of the system design.

At Transcendent Software, our starting point remains simple: we solve problems.

Sometimes that means building new software. Sometimes it means modernizing an old system, connecting tools that do not communicate, improving a workflow, or finding a responsible place for AI.

The technology changes. The goal does not.

Better tools should make better work possible for the people and businesses using them.

That is worth keeping in mind this Labor Day, and every day we decide what technology should do next.

AI and automation are most useful when they remove avoidable friction without removing human judgment, ownership, or responsibility.

Better Tools Should Make Better Work Possible

The goal of AI and automation should not be to remove people from the work.

It should be to remove avoidable friction so people can focus their judgment, care, and experience where they matter most.
[14,32,29,25,2,7,27,30,28,5,4,24,31,33,15,26,10,1,13
37,41,44,39,40,42
post-1232","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-apis","category-artificial-intelligence","category-big-data","category-cio-cto","category-cloud","category-cms","category-data","category-data-analytics","category-data-science","category-databases","category-devops","category-leadership","category-machine-learning","category-outsourcing","category-serverless-computing","category-small-business","category-software-development","category-uncategorized","category-websites","tag-ai","tag-leadership","tag-life","tag-machine-learning","tag-software-development","tag-technology
["GET
