Community work that keeps useful technology alive

We contribute time, engineering, infrastructure, and practical experimentation to community-led technology efforts where careful work can keep something useful moving forward.

First story

Open Jibo and the Jibo Revival community

Jibo's original consumer service ended, but a broader community of owners, developers, and enthusiasts kept working to understand, restore, and extend what the robots can do.

01

Jibo Revival is the community project

Jibo Revival is the broader community-led effort. It brings together people who care about keeping Jibo useful, sharing knowledge, and exploring what the platform can become. Transcendent Software does not own or lead that entire project.

02

Jake and Transcendent contribute practical work

Jake Dubin and Transcendent Software contribute engineering time, infrastructure work, investigation, and hands-on experiments in support of the community. Those contributions are one part of a larger effort shaped by many participants.

03

Open Jibo Cloud is an active infrastructure path

Open Jibo Cloud is an actively developed hosting and infrastructure direction intended to support continued experimentation. Self-hosted and hybrid approaches are part of the evolving picture; managed-node services are in development, not presented here as production availability.

How we participate

Support the community without claiming the community

Community technology succeeds when responsibilities stay clear. Jibo Revival provides the shared project and community context. Jake and Transcendent contribute specific technical work. Open Jibo Cloud is one developing path for the hosting and infrastructure needed to keep experiments moving.

The direction is intentionally exploratory. Architecture, hosting models, and service boundaries may change as the work develops and the community learns what is sustainable.
